Pina Cloth

Pina Cloth
PINA CLOTH
A fabric made by the natives of Manila and China from threads obtained from the leaves of the pineapple plant. The threads are not spun, and are very similar in appearance and characteristics to horsehair when woven. The fibres are fine and silky and give the cloth a lustrous appearance. The fabric is said to be impervious to water.
